Building and Celebrating Our Resilience
The Family Resource Centre recently hosted a conference for our 2SLGBTQIA+ Community titled:
Building and Celebrating Our Resilience
Retaining Our Vibrant Selves in the Face of Opposition
Speakers included Madeline Terbasket (they/them) - a two-spirit performance artist, Andi Sheasby (they/them) - a queer, trans human rights lawyer, workplace investigator, visual artist, writer, and parent; and Susan Armstrong (she/her) - Family Resource Centre Clinical Supervisor & Program Manager.
Our deep thanks to our local sponsors: Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre, for providing the venue, and Nature's Fare, Cob's Bread, and QMUNITY (BC's Queer, Trans, & Two-Spirit Resource Centre) for providing the food and refreshments!
We thank the Department of Justice for their generous financial support that made this event possible.
